Useful Tips for Wacom Tablet and Photoshop users for mac and windows. The Apple Magic Trackpad isn't an alternative to something like a Wacom graphics tablet. It's an alternative to a mouse. You may be able to unlock some 'hidden' features, using third-party software, but hardware to match a Wacom isn't there. That makes them more serious contenders for graphics use, though perhaps not up to the standards of a Wacom tablet. But iPads are not Macs and do not run full Photoshop. ![]() The iPad / Apple Pencil combination would only be useful to you if you could find some third-party app to turn the iPad into an input device for a Mac. (Second entry under 'Drivers for Previous Generation Products.) It's dated and listed as compatible with Mac OS X 10.9.x (Mavericks) through Mac OS X 10.11.x (El Capitan). ![]() Wacom does not list the driver as being compatible with Sierra or High Sierra. I don't know if there is some known incompatibility, or if they simply did not test it and do not guarantee it. Jim Jim, I have the PTZ-430 which must be pretty similar to your PTZ-431 and I can tell you the driver situation for High Sierra. The relevant Wacom driver page is as Tom posted: The one Tom mentions (in the 'Previous Generation Products' section) works with my PTZ-430 in 10.13 (High Sierra) and is version 6.3.15-3. This works even though the download page says it is for 10.9-10.11, so I guess they just didn't test it with 10.13 or are unwilling to guarantee/support it. NOTE: you may be asked to 'allow' the Wacom extension in the Security & Privacy Pref Pane > General Tab.be sure to do this. Hans7D wrote: John_Hoffman wrote: Right.
